Ring out the bells again, like we did when spring began

Wow, do I ever suck at updating this blog.

Ok, got that out of the way. I've been getting a lot of flack lately for not posting (I told my sister she should be doing her paper, not reading my blog anyway). The weather has been so nice this past week that I'm launching into a discussion of all things spring.

One of my favourite things that accompanies the change in weather: I get to wear my spring coats again after a long, bundled-up winter. There's something so satisfying about donning a light, cute little coat that really only gives you a semblance of protection against any elements, but just looks so bloody good.

I liberated my spring-esque shoes this past week as well (left; shoes may not be exactly as pictured, but I really wish they were). Now that I've officially retired my not-so-pretty (but incredibly practical) honkin' winter boots, I need to learn how to walk in my precarious heels all over again...so worth it, though.

To officially mark the arrival of this much-anticipated season, I made a trip to the hair salon for a spring refresher. EM informed me that this is the season of "Spring Cuts", and she's absolutely right. I now have some more layers, and my stylist showed me how to work with the curls I already have. Feeling fabulous and ready for some fun!

And just so you don't think I'm a total diva, gentle readers, please know that for me, the arrival of spring also means I once again get to partake in the outdoor sports I do so love. I simply cannot wait for the tennis courts to open up. And once I pick up my golf clubs from their winter storage facility (i.e., my parents' house), I'm hitting the driving range. I need the practice there...I still owe B a six-pack after a driving/chipping contest last year, so I need to redeem myself before he tries to collect!

Spring is always a time for renewal and fresh beginnings. Forget January 1...too much pressure there to start over. I prefer this time of year: you can shake off the winter blues, get rid of your snow tires and hunker down on a patio after being stuck inside for six months.

I tell you, I've got a fever that even cowbell can't cure...spring fever!
